Sami has her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mississippi. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who brings a direct, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to therapy. She finds that the greatest growth happens when clients feel both supported and challenged, and she works to find a good balance between acceptance and change.
Sami works with adults facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity struggles, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. She is experienced in working with clients with trauma and those with mood disorders. Whether you’re feeling stuck in your thoughts, overwhelmed by emotions, or uncertain about your next steps, Sami will work alongside you to create meaningful change.
Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Sami tailors therapy to meet you where you are. With a foundation in person-centered care, she believes that therapy should be flexible—your needs in the moment come first. If you’re looking for a therapist who will be real with you, challenge you, and create a space where you feel truly seen, Sami is ready to help.
